Formulation Design of Nutrient Premix
1. Select applicable nutrient types. In accordance with the characteristics of finished products and relevant national standards, select permissible nutrient varieties, and ensure the addition dosage complies with regulatory requirements.
2. Choose suitable nutrient raw materials matching production processes. Dry blending requires proper particle size; wet blending needs high solubility. Avoid adverse reactions between ingredients.
3. Calculate raw material dosage. Determine the required dosage of each raw material according to the active nutrient content of raw materials and the nutritional demand of final products.
4. Excessive fortification. Considering nutrient loss during production and shelf-life storage, proper over-addition of nutrients is generally adopted in premix formulation design. This ensures the final nutrient content still meets labeled specifications after processing and long-term storage.
